Admission to M.Tech./M.E./M.Pharm programmes, 2008 – 09

1. School of Computer Science (SCS)

• M.Tech. (Computer Science) FT
• M.Tech. [Computer Science (Network Management & Information Security)] FT
• M.Tech. [Computer Science (Information Architecture & Software Engineering)] FT
• M.Tech. [Computer Science (Bioinformatics)] FT
• M.Tech. [Computer Science (By Research)] FT

Eligibility

M.C.A./BE/B.Tech./MSc. (CS/IT) M.Sc. (Bio-lnf.)/M.Sc. (Bio-Science)/ (M.B.B.S.) or equivalent studies of 4 years with 55% marks in Aggregate with valid GATE score. (For non GATE candidates school will conduct Test/Interview on the same date).

Students with M.Sc. (Bio-Science), M.B.B.S. & M.Sc. (Bio-Informatics) are only eligible for M.Tech. (Bio-Informatics)

M.Tech. (Computer Science (By Research) ] minimum experience of 3 years is required

2. School of Electronics (SoEx)

• M.Tech. (Embedded System) FT

Eligibility: BE/BTech/MSc (Elex/Elex & Comm./CS/IT) OR MCA OR equivalent with min. 55% marks in Aggregate with valid GATE score in ECE/CSE. For non GATE candidates, School will conduct Test/Interview on the same date.

• M.Tech. (Spatial Information Technology) FT

Eligibility: BE/BTech (Elex/CS/IT/lnst/Civil Engg.) OR MSc (Elex/Elex & Comm/CS/IT) OR MCA OR equivalent with min. 55% marks in Aggregate with valid GATE score in relevant discipline. For non GATE candidates, School will conduct Test/Interview on the same date.

• M.Tech. (Mobile Computing Technology) FT

Eligibility: BE/BTech (Elex & Comm/Elex & Inst./Comp. Sc./Comp. Engg./IT) OR MSc (Elex/Elex & Comm/Comp. Sc/IT) OR MCA OR equivalent with min. 55% marks in Aggregate with valid GATE score in relevant discipline. For non GATE candidates, School will conduct Test/ Interview on the same date

3. School of Energy & Environmental Studies (SEES)

• M.Tech. (Energy Management) FT*

BE/B.Tech./MSc (Physics) or Equivalent Degree from Engineering Association Examination with 55% marks in Aggregate with valid GATE Score.

4. School of Future Studies & Planning (SFSP)

• M.Tech. (Future Studies & Planning) FT**

Eligibility: BE/B.Tech. in any discipline or MSc (Phy/Maths/Stats/CS) or Equivalent Degree with 55% marks in aggregate with valid GATE Score.

• M.Tech. (Systems Management) FT***

Eligibility: BE/B.Tech. in any discipline or MSc (Phy/Maths/Stats/CS) or Equivalent Degree with 55% marks in aggregate with valid GATE Score.

Counseling: 10.00 AM, 3rd July 2008 at SFSP

**Theme: It is an interdisciplinary programme that trains the students for policy planning and technology management. It includes forecasting, systems engineering, modeling & simulation, econometrics, technology forecasting, planning and management, etc.


***Theme: To train the students to design, model, analyze and manage modern complex systems. It delivers a multidisciplinary curriculum covering systems engineering, management, information technology, modeling, project finance, e-business, etc.

5. School of Instrumentation (Sol/IET)

• M.Tech. (Instrumentation) (FT)

Eligibility: BE/BTech. (lnstru/Comp./Elex/Elect/Mech/Chem) OR MSc (CS/Elex/ Instru/Physics) with 55% marks in aggregate with valid GATE Score.

Counseling: 10.00 AM, 7th July 2008 at Sol/IET

6. School of Physics (SoP)

• M.Tech (Laser Sci & App) FT

Eligibility: BE/BTech. (Elex/Elect) OR MSc (Physics or App Physics) with 55% marks in aggregate with valid GATE Score.

Counseling: 10.00 AM, 4th July 2008 at SoP

7. Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET)

• ME (Comp Engg.) with Spl in Soft Engg. FT/PT
• ME (Electronics) with Spl in Digital Instru. FT/PT
• ME (Electronics) with Spl in Digital Comm. FT/PT
• ME (Industrial Engg. & Mgmt.) FT/PT
• ME (Mechanical Engg.) Spl. In Design & Thermal Engg. FT/PT
• ME (Information Technology) Spl. In Information Security. FT/PT

Eligibility
A candidate seeking admission to the program should have passed with 60% (or Equivalent) in BE/BTech. From recognized Institute/ University and Valid GATE Score in the relevant/allied branch of Engineering/Technology.

Counseling: 10.00 AM, 7th July 2008 at IET

8. School of Pharmacy (SoPH)

• M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) FT

Eligibility

For regular candidates, B.Pharm with 60% marks in aggregate with valid GATE Score. For sponsored candidates, B.Pharm with 60% marks in aggregate and two years working experience

Counseling: 10.00 AM, 14th July 2008. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling

Application Form and other information may be obtained by paying an application fee Rs. 300/- in the form of DD drawn in favour of "Registrar, D.A.V.V." payable at Indore personally or by post (a self addressed A4 size envelope fixed with postage stamps for Rs. 50/- must be enclosed).

The downloaded (from www.dauniv.ac.in) form must be accompanied with DD of Rs. 300/- in favor of "Registrar, D.A.V.V." payable at Indore. The completed application form must be submitted to the Head, (Name of School/Institute as above), Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Khandwa Road, Indore MP-452017. The envelope must be subscribed with "Application for M.Tech./ME/M.Pharm". No application shall be entertained without application fee OR received after the last date.

IMPORTANT:

Issue of Application form commences on 1^st May 08.

Last date for receipt of completed Application form 25 June 08.
