NAME OF THE POST - SCIENTIFIC OFFICER/ENGINEER GRADE "C"

Category – XVI [PHYSICS]

Number of Posts - 02

Qualifications:

M.Sc., degree in [Physics/Material Science] with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University.

Desirable: Two years experience in Modeling in Material Science Engineering.

NAME OF THE POST - SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT "B"

Category – XXIV  [PHYSICS]

Number of Posts - 10

Qualifications:

B.Sc., in Physics [Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry] with minimum of 60% marks in Degree, from a recognized University.  Physics should be the major discipline in B.Sc., with above mentioned subjects as combination.  

Desirable: Three years Experience in Electron optical instruments / ISNT Level-I certification in at least one NDE method.

 

AGE LIMITS AS ON 01.07.2008

 

Age Limit for the Post of Scientific Officer/Engineer 'D':  Not more than 35 years

Age Limit for the Post of Scientific Officer/Engineer 'C':  Not more than 35 years  

Age Limit for the Post of Scientific Assistant 'B':  Not more than 30 years

 

Age Relaxation for all the Posts:   Except Scientific Officer / D posts.

                                                                 

[a] SC/ST  - Relaxation up to 5 years

                                      [b] OBC     - Relaxation up to 3 years

                                      [c] Physically Handicapped - Relaxation up to 10 years     

                                      [d] Ex-serviceman - as per rules of Govt. of India in vogue

 

Emoluments and Other Incentives:

 

Scale of Pay for the Post of Scientific Officer/Engineer "C"          : Rs.8000-275-13500   

Scale of Pay for the Post of Scientific Assistant "B"                   : Rs.5500-175-9000

Scale of Pay for the Post of Draughtsman "A"                : Rs.5000-150-8000

Scale of Pay for the Post of Tradesman "B"                            : Rs.3200-85-4900 

 

Total emoluments for all the Posts at the minimum of the scale including DA will be:

 

Scientific Officer/Engineer "D"         :         Rs. 22050/- p.m. (approx.)     

Scientific Officer/Engineer "C"         :         Rs. 17640/- p.m. (approx.)     

Scientific Assistant "B"                   :         Rs. 12128/- p.m. (approx.)

Draughtsman "A"                         :         Rs. 11025/- p.m. (approx.)

Tradesman "B"                            :         Rs. 7056/- p.m. (approx.)

 

That emoluments mentioned above are likely to be more after the implementation of VI Pay Commission Report.

HOW TO APPLY               

1.                  The application should be submitted in the proforma given in the Advertisement, preferably typewritten on thick A4 Paper only [size 34CMs x 22CMs].

 

2.       The application and the outer cover should be superscribed as APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ___________________________ CATEGORY No.:  ______  IN IGCAR, AGAINST  THE ADVERTISEMENT No. 3/2008.               

 

3.       A recent passport size photograph should be pasted on the space provided on the right hand top corner of the application and another to be pasted on the admit card.

 

4.                  The application for the posts Scientific Officer/ Engineers Grade "D" & "C" should be accompanied by a Non refundable crossed Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Pay & Accounts Officer, IGCAR, Kalpakkam for a sum of Rs.50/- payable in SBI Bank/Canara Bank, Kalpakkam. SC/ST candidates, Disabled Defence personnel and dependents of Defence Personnel killed in action and Ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the above fee.  For the posts of Scientific Assistant "B", Draughtsman "A" and Tradesman "B" Postal Order / Demand Draft is not required.

 

5.                  Application should accompany the attested copies of certificates of

 

[a] Educational and Technical Qualifications and all mark sheets of the qualifying Examination

[b] Date of birth proof

[c] Certificates issued by the Competent Authorities regarding their claim that they belongs to SC / ST / OBC / Physically Handicapped / Ex-Servicemen.

[d] Land loser Certificate and copy of award of Compensation, in case any land to D.A.E.  Projects have been given by the Candidate or his/her Parents.

[e] Experience certificate specifically stating the kind of work done.
