Ph.D and M.Tech Admissions 2010-2012
National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research(NITTTR), Chennai, established by Ministry of HRD, Govt of India, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to the Ph.D/M.Tech programmes which are affiliated to University of Madras.
Courses and eligibility are as follows:
1.Full-time (Stipendiary) Ph.D Programme in Engineering Education (Inter-disciplinary Research): Candidates eligible for the admission have to posess the following qualifications/criteria:
a) Master's Degree (10+2+3+2 or 11+1+3+2 or 12+3+2) in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Computer Applications / Electronic Media / Visual Communication / Environmental Science / Physics / Chemistry / Maths / English / Commerce / Management / Psychology / Sociology / Education / HRD or any other discipline related to Engineering Education with not less than 55% of marks or equivalent Grade and a fist class either in Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.
b) The candidate should not be getting salary or pension or fellowship from any other source.
c) Age of candidates have to be less than 40 years (age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/PD candidates as per Government of India's norms).

2.Master of Technology (Human Resource Development) M.Tech (HRD) and 3. Master of Technical Education (M.Tech.Ed)
Candidates holding a degree in engineering or technology of University of Madras or any University recognized by the Syndicate of this University as equivalent thereto are eligible to apply for these 4 semester programmes.
Candidates, other than those sponsored by State Directorates of Technical Education will have to appear for the Entrance Test conducted by NITTTR. Candidates working in Government and Government Aided institutions and sponsored by the State Directorates of Technical Education are exempted from paying Tuition Fee and Technology Fee. While submitting the downloaded application form, the candidates have to send a Demand Draft for Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- in the case of SC/ST/PD candidates) drawn in favour of "The Director, NITTTR, Chennai" payable at Chennai.
Candidates applying for Ph.D Programme in Engineering Education have to send the completed application form along with attested copies of all mark sheets, certificates and other required enclosures (as per the checklist enclosed with the application form) to the Professor and Head, Department of Policy Planning and Educational Research, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Taramani, Chennai - 600 113.
Candidates applying for M.Tech courses have to send the completed application forms in the prescribed form to the Director, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Taramani, Chennai-600113.
Last date for receipt of completed application forms for Ph.D is 04.06.2010
and of M.Tech is 25.06.2010.
