Ph.D Tech Programme 2011 Admissions 2011-2012
Department of Chemical Technology, University of Calcutta has invited applications for admission to PhD (Tech) Programme (2011) in Ceramic Engineering, Petrochemicals & Petroleum Refinery Engg., Pharmaceutical & Fine Chemical Tech. and Oil Technology
Eligibility:
1. Candidates having degree in Bachelor of Technology or Master of Science (without NET/SET/SLET/GATE) securing 1st class (selection through Entrance Test & Interview);
2. Candidates having degree in Master of Technology or Equivalent or Master of Science (with NET/SET/SLET/GATE) securing 1st class (selection through Interview only).
Entrance Test:
The PhD Entrance test will be of 50 marks (duration 1 hr.) consisting of both Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and short questions.
The Syllabus for the Entrance Test and subsequent list of the successful candidates will be available in the Departmental Notice Board (near the room of the HOD, Ground floor, Applied Chemistry Building).
The successful candidates will have to appear for an interview for final selection.
Application:
Candidates are required to download the Application Form from the website link: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/admission notice/PhD_admission_form_chemtech.pdf
and to submit the filled up Application Form along with the receipt of deposition of Application Fee within the due date to the Head, Department of Chemical Technology, 92 Acharya Prafulla Chandra Road, Kolkata – 700009.
Important Dates:
Last Date for Submission of Application Form: 15th September, 2011
Date of Entrance Test: 20th September, 2011 (1 to 2 pm)
Publication of List of successful Candidates: 22nd September, 2011
Date of Interview: 23rd September, 2011 (1 pm onwards)
Publication of Final list of Candidates: 28th September, 2011
