Applications are invited for a walk in interview to be held on 15thJanuary 2013 (Tuesday) in the Dept. of Physics, IIT Guwahati at 11.00 am, for two temporary positions of Junior Research Fellow in two SERB-DST-sponsored research projects entitled "Factors Influencing Fast Ion Conduction In Solids: Atomistic Modeling and Computer Simulation Studies On NASICON-type Solids" and "Diffraction-less multidimensional light propagation in coherently controlled media", at Department of Physics, IIT Guwahati. The appointment will be on contract basis for one (01) year and co-terminus with the project.

Qualification and Experience: M. Sc (Physics) with minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CPI (on a 10 point-scale). GATE/NET qualification is desirable but not essential. Exposure to Numerical Methods and programming skills in FORTRAN/C/C++ are desirable.
Pay Rs.16,000 p.m if GATE qualified, otherwise Rs.12,000 pm. HRA and Medical facility as per institute rules.
